Terms of Residency

At Cascade Care, we understand that many of our service users have lived much of their lives within tightly regulated regimes, with limited opportunities for decision-making and exercising personal choice.

In providing specialist mental healthcare in community-based rehabilitation and care settings, we believe in keeping rules and regulations to a minimum.

Our aim in this, as it is throughout our therapeutic and rehabilitative services, is to promote self-reliance and social awareness, with service users learning to take responsibility for their own actions.

We do require all service users to comply with our zero tolerance of substance or alcohol abuse and random urine testing is carried out regularly. Persistent lapses are viewed seriously and may lead to a service user’s residency being terminated.

A residency may also be terminated if a service user’s behaviour is considered disruptive to the home or the local community or presents a threat to the service user.
