Recovery Star

At Cascade Care, we are always looking for ways to improve the quality of our care and rehabilitation services.

As part of this process, we have introduced Recovery Star, an outcomes-based measurement tool recognised by the Department of Health.

By using Recovery Star, we are able to support service users’ recovery by charting progress in areas including managing their mental health, enhancing living skills, building and maintaining social networks and building self-esteem to maximise independence.

Service users are able to see clear evidence of their progress and their involvement in the process – which fuels motivation and enhances skills and confidence – is key.

Our commitment to their participation includes making spaces available for service users on introductory and “train the trainer” Recovery Star training sessions, so that they can become part of the team delivering our ongoing, in-house Recovery Star training.

For commissioners, Recovery Star demonstrates that key care objectives are being met and that outcomes are being delivered.
