Positive Outcomes
Cascade Care’s continuing development and growth is an indicator of the success of our care and rehabilitation programmes and proven track record in achieving positive outcomes for service users.
Our person-centred, therapeutic approach maintains the highest quality standards while accelerating recovery, leading to overall reductions in costs for commissioners.
We can demonstrate our success through measures including a 70 per cent non-reoffending rate amongst service users after move on. Between May 2010 and May 2011, our positive outcomes also included:
- 46 per cent of service users participating in a rehabilitation programme
- 23 per cent of service users stepping down to supported, semi-independent or independent living
- a total of 19 per cent of service users in either paid or voluntary work or in full or part-time education.
- 8 per cent of service users suffering a relapse resulting in their not returning to Cascade Care
- 10 per cent of service users reoffending (3 per cent* received a custodial sentence).
We add further value to our focus on achieving positive outcomes through tools including:
Our evidence-based approach includes measuring outcomes against the requirements of each service user’s care plan, which enables us to introduce alternative or additional therapies and treatments as appropriate. We also benchmark ourselves against the key performance indicators of commissioners.
