Our Safeguarding Policy

At Cascade Care, the welfare and well-being of our service users is paramount and we have in place a robust safeguarding policy to protect our service users from abuse.

We have clear and comprehensive procedures for the action that must be taken in response to any concern or allegation that a service user has experienced abuse – either by another service user, a member of staff or someone they have come into contact with externally – or has abused others. These include procedures for “whistleblowing” by members of staff.

Safeguarding issues individual to each service user and risk assessments in relation to their own safety or the risk they may present to others are also built into care plans.

All our staff must undergo a full Criminal Records Bureau and reference checks prior to their appointment and receive safeguarding training as part of their induction and on a regular basis.
